Re: Scary machinery...try this on your logging layout!

We have something like that, it hangs off the back of tractors, & chucks loads of vicious thorns into the road, when farmers have their hedges trimmed - cyclists hate them! :!:

Re: cutting track

Rail joiners are held in place (finger & thumb) & gently tapped with a heavy object until it is located properly on the rail, & then tapped into position fully, always works for me. :)

I'd be tempted at £5 a wagon, hopefully this sort of pricing will be common very soon.

Re: Gn15 Society and/or marketing

I believe we have already got our club/society in the GnATTERbox. 8) What is holding me back from having a GN15 layout is the same reasons that I don't have any other scale layouts - my ineptitude to make things! So, for me, micro layout(s) are the only way I'll get anything running. I love th...

It is a shame for Gn15, but 09 does seem to have taken off.
Probably for the same reasons as 009 against 0ng.

The internet was created in the times of XGA (1024x768) resolution screens, & I doubt that anyone ever thought that people would want to go back to a small VGA/EGA (640x480) screen, let alone use a phone to access it!

I think a lot of us been through the scale/gauges trials, I certainly have, but I now realise that whilst I like seeing trains run, at home, I just need to shunt a few wagons about, so I am building & playing with 'micros' now.

I've been a member for a little while, because I like what I see here, but I have no layout.
I like anything out of the ordinary, but unfortunately, every time I try to convert some thing into narrow gauge I end up with a pile of bits!
I just don't seem to have what it takes. :(

They say they will be doing a plywood version as well, for more money.

The proposed sizes are for doing costings, & I have suggested a 4ft x 1ft 'micro', others are interested in this size also.
