Bärwurz & Co. is "Laundry"

For discussion of the issues faced when building a model or layout - how to replicate wood, what glues to use, exactly how much weathering can a Gnat take, a good source of detailing accessories - you get the picture, I'm sure.

Great to see you back again with a new layout Alex. I'm really looking forward to seeing it develop. If it is as good as the paper mill, I know we are going to enjoy watching this one take shape,

Der Vater von meinem Schwager hat eine Schnapsbrennerei, dort werde ich dann auch die nötigen Informationen zum "Vorbild" finden...

(The father of my brother-in-law owns a still, there I will find the necessary informations on the prototype...)

Nice progress you got going there, Alex. Looks portable, going to be taking it to train meets ?

Barwurz is too close in similarity to the old LG&B's Beer Whiz box car logo, for me to ignore. Was that the inspiration for the naming of the new layout ?

Hi,

Bärwurz (radix ursi) is a plant, used for medical purposes. In Bavaria
they brew a Schnaps (liquor) from it. Bear Whiz is not known in Germany.

They´d tar & feather the importer.

Have Fun

Great start on the new layout Alex, I have to echo Steve's comment about the quality of construction.

That is a gorgeous box, Alexander! Is it sheets of 3mm plywood?

The track plan looks interesting the way is cuts through the back scene.
Look forward to seeing what buildings are going to appear.

here is a update at my layout. The benchwork is ready. My first Idea

The new layout looks terrific Alexander.
Your building skills are very evident on the framework as they were on the paper mill layout which still remains one of my favourite Gn15 efforts.

Well done !
