I thought now was the right time to post the latest train acquired by Jon, a member of the Gnorfolkers.
Jon got married a few weeks ago to Christine, who was fully aware of Jon's interest in railways
and, even so, was happy to take him on. Preparing to be a good and dutiful railway wife, the wedding cake (one of two) was duly decorated with the appropriate symbol of true affection. The happy couple are normally shown on the cake under an arch of flowers etc, but Christine went for a train, a complete surprise to Jon on the day
. I believe the honeymoon was spent at Hythe, which, to Jon's surprise, has a narrow gauge railway nearby
One offshoot from the wedding was an ample supply of delicious wedding cake, consumed by the hungry horde at the last Gnorfolkers meeting.
Jon kindly brought the train to show us, and great discussion took place about the scale/gauge designation. Nick I think came up with the best answer, that of broad gauge Gn15
We wish Jon and Christine all the best, Ralph.
