Thanks for posting the video clip Mike - most interesting. I would like to have a go at his technique on Duncton Yard, but I didn't recognise the spray adhesive he was using, I guess it's not available on the side of the pond. Can anyone suggest an English eqivalent which has instant and strong "grab" and dries fast?

I normally use the spray adhesive available form B&Q, you will find it in the carpet section, Maplins also do a couple just make sure you get the standard version not the "reposition-able one"

Thanks for posting this - I had some Super 77 in the scenery box, and I wasn't having much luck with the electric flyswat and longer (6mm) grass fibres.

It's certainly worth trying, especially for tussocky grass, although I've found I get some bald spots which need to be covered up with scatter. Looks good in profile though.

Your grass looks good Will. I tried the 6 mm fibers from the yellow bottle with holes in the lid and they did not stand up. I did find the fibers good for twiglets on trees - I put dots of PVA on the branches then drizzled the fibers on from my fingers and they spread apart OK.

What is the hairy fiber he used in the video ? (I have diallup here & where I watched the video there was no sound).

It was a cheap blonde Halloween wig, basically to save money on the fibres and make for longer strands than you can get commercially. I thought maybe it also helped form the cigars, but with a bit of practice they work fine with the shorter fibres.
