Actually, Pender Street Mills has had several small changes since the NMRA Convention:
First, due to the high metallic content in the soil around Pender a rare Cast Iron Vine
has rapidly sprouted. The maintenance crew is concerned that it may overgrow everything like Kudzu!
Secondly, a former employee has started to frequent Pender. He was our head mechanical engineer, but took early retirement to build a Gn15 layout. Our shop crew affectionately call him "Ruds". Clearly he is full of the Holiday Spirits.
The reason for these changes was to soften the transition of the building into the module side, and to create more visual interest in a rather barren area.
