OK I'm a Gnitwitt! Does anyone know where I got this layout. It is brilliant and I love mines and mountains. I seem to have run into problems attaching files. I think it was Southpass and it had a large oval and a small loop with a crossing about 5" above the table. If I could post y'all would know it in a second. Close to 4' in length. Brilliant design.
I have the picture in .docx and .pdf and neither will post
Please help.?????? Oh yeah, G9 I believe. I finally got it posted. Thank god for GIMP.

Yes Simon and Chris, Eureka. I'm going to use Kato track since I already have some, but only for convenience. That is a really brilliant plan in less than a meter. Thanks! I also will use foam instead of plywood, since I have a bunch of that too. 4' by 2' should give a bit of extra room. Still can store it under our bed.

Should be a very interesting project. Looking forward on how you progress with this.
