there is a lot of stuff out there for 1/6th scale(also listed under 12in figures), not all military, some street acton stuff, and some slightly weird/dodgy stuff(don't ask, just search on ebay!) . Also there is good old Barbie and Sindy. Difficulty is getting figures which are shorter than 12in, especially children. Also many have stupid smiles.
I have been building up collection of items suitable for a small 1/6th scale model.
Thing about Emett, is that there is no standard way. Many have stuck to the classic Emett FOB railway items, but all it needs is something normal with a slight twist. Start with the politics of the period of many of his cartoon drawings and you will soon have plenty of ideas. I will have to dig out my Emett inspired armoured train(I had it at Telford one year),1/12th scale so not 1/6, but something similar could be done bigger. That was built on a cheap O gauge trainset chassis. Might consider that if I find a cheap G gauge set, although I do have some spare 45mm gauge motor chassis.
Drat, just remembers most of my 1/6 bits are down in France, so that will have to wait!
Narrow gauge Francophile interested in 1m, 60cm,50cm , 40cm and smaller gauges . Build in scales from 1/6th to 1/24th. Also 1/32nd and 1/35th using 16.5mm track to represent 50cm and 60cm gauges. http://www.rue-d-etropal.com
