O9 La'al Ratty layout (first few locos are being made by TMB

I'm back to working in O9 (SHOCKER -_-). I sent the pics of the first stuff I want the people at TMB Custom Models to make and I'm hoping to get some more stuff ordered from Pepper7.com and of course the people, vehicles, wagon loads, and track (Bachmann N Scale EZ Track) are going to be bought from y local hobby shop. Don't think I won't know what I'm doing this time (I ACTUALLY do know what I'm doing this time) :).

This all sounds far too exciting; I'm glad that I'm already sitting down :D

Is there any chance that you could explan the name "La'al Ratty" please, I'm having trouble working it out :?

It's what the people who live in the Lake District of Cumbria, England call the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway (that's what Rough-Shunter used in part of his title for his layout topic, same layout different track though).

La'al, in the Cumbrian dialect means Little or small and ratty is the Nickname that the locals gave the railway.

You have an interesting project ahead i will make on suggestion and that is research the railways history first and come to understand the topography and local industry that made the railway come into being as the three foot gauge line it started out as

I know it used to be northern rock on a number of other forums too however we have digressed and I'm still none the wiser as to what makes you say that

I look forward to seeing what you turn up with . the R&ER is a wonderful railway and i am sure you will see through your research, Good luck ! and keep us informed of your progress and We love photographs too!
I just hope you have Lots of space to model the railway!

Thanks and it will be on a baseboard and I also asked the people at TMB Custom Models to build the fictional Railway Series locomotive based off of River Mite (Mike the Arlesdale Goods Engine :D).

Just emailed the guy from Shapeways to make River Mite for me again. Also anyone know what the best coach bogies are for the MG Model Modern Style Open, Semi-Open, Closed, & Wheel Chair Accessible Coaches?
