Cakebox challenge

RMWeb is running a challenge to build a layout that will fit in a cakebox. A cakebox is 8 x 8 x 6 inches outside, so it needs to be slightly less to fit in the box, say 200 x 200 x 150 mm max. Deadline is late next year.

I’m thinking something small like this will get me modelling again; I’ve been spending too long removing the weathering from my 1:1 scale model house, to return it to almost factory fresh. I haven’t made a simplicity sidings, and I’m thinking of a layout that will unfold to be 400 x 100; two tracks will just fit.
