Well Ive been let in to the Gnut house

(No not the one at Southwell however you pronounce it). :lol:

Should say that I live in Creswell (Which really is in Derbyshire ) :oops:

but it says Notts on the address (But then again I have a South Yorkshire postcode) :cry:

(No I'm gnot lost but I have seen plenty of puzzled posties) :!:

Yes, Cresswell is in that funny border zone where nothing makes sense in your address, but half of the north end of Nottinghamshire is like that, there are places actually in Notts with South Yorkshire in the address.... Is it any wonder that the folks in Nottingham think the County ends somewhere just after Mansfield?? :roll:

I live in Sutton Bonington (only fame to claim was it was the Home of the Paget Family and some of the MR Directors and general managers) a small Nottinghamshire village in the borough of Rushcliffe in south of Nottinghamshire, so naturally my address reads:

123 Lettsbe Avenue,
Sutton Bonington,
Loughborough, <-- ???? What!
Leicestershire,

Even weirder for the Nottingham Uni Campus who have the same address!

Actually, living here on the border of Mansfield, I can see, in terms of postcodes, the border of Derbyshire over the garden fence, so in theory at least, the nottingham folk are correct! In fact, the wife's just moved to Chesterfield for work and cut her commute from hour plus to Nottingham court to twenty minutes!

Just what are you trying to imply MOG, I can claim to be a true Gnotter (Born in Kings Mill just down the road from you) and have lived in Worksop, Carlton in Lindrick, Worksop (AGAIN) and only now in Creswell am I a mile and a half from where I should be! :roll:
