A general talking shop for any subject under the sun (even Monty Python). This would also be a good place to make suggestions about the site itself or about these forums (or "fora", if you're particularly pedantic).

The Mystery on the Miniature Railway

Postby DCRFAN 3 » Sat Feb 20, 2016 12:23 am

I just received a copy of this book from Book Depository. The title took my fancy. The cover looks like what I imagine is the countryside around the Eskdale railway while the back cover is definitely like the end of the RH&DR. The book starts with the Professor (a nuclear professor who disappears) boarding the train from Heath to Downsend railway across the Romsey Marsh on the railway called the RHLR (Romsey Heath and Little Church Railway). At the end of the line there is a nuclear power station

The author naturally claims it is imaginary and not based on any railway but it sure sound familiar to me

Anyway it sounds like a prototype I could model as scanning thru they operate a couple of diesels along with their kettles.

Any one read the book or more importantly built the model?
